The Road to a Million Trees Starts with a Sold-Out Smodcastle

A low-angle close-up of a person from the knees down wearing brown work boots and dark pants, standing in a forest covered in dead leaves. A shovel blade is pressed into the dirt in the center, and a thin tree sapling stands to the right.

The Arborist doesn't do things halfway. When he swings, he connects. And when we plant, we plan to cover the earth.

As we barrel toward the World Premiere of Arbor Day: The Root of Evil on April 24, 2026, we are setting our sights on a terrifyingly ambitious goal: We want to plant one million trees.

The First Step: April 24th Every journey starts somewhere. For us, it starts with a sold-out crowd at Smodcastle Cinemas.

Here is the math: If we fill every seat in the house for the premiere, we will trigger the planting of over 150 trees immediately through the Arbor Day Foundation.

That’s an entire grove planted just because you wanted to see a horror movie.

Why a Million? Because the woods need to be deep, dark, and endless. We are building this legacy ticket by ticket. Be part of the "First 150." Let's sell this out and show the world what horror fans can do for the planet.
